K A Shaji is a Kerala-based journalist who writes on politics, human rights, environment, livelihood, caste and marginalised communities. Hailing from Wayanad in North Kerala, he worked with newspapers The Indian Express, The Times of India, The Hindu and The Telegraph and magazines Tehelka and Open. He was also a regular contributor to Mongabay, Huffington Post, People's Archive of Rural India and Down to Earth. Shaji is a recipient of the National Media Fellowship and the Sankriti Journalism Award.
