Ban on Kerala theater group for depicting Muslim man as terrorist

Following criticism on multiple issues during the state youth festival, Kalolsavam, the Kerala government has banned a theatre group over depicting a Muslim man as a terrorist in a skit.

Several Muslim groups condemned the portrayal and even accused Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan of endorsing it.

The Malayalam Theatrical and Heritage Arts group was banned from all future government events.

Earlier, the government faced criticism over an all -Veg menu at the fest.
