200 kg heroin seized from Iranian boat off Kochi

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and the Indian Navy seized over 200 kgs of heroin from an Iranian boat off the Kochi coast on Thursday, 13 October.

Six Iranian crew members were taken into custody after the boat was intercepted around 1200 nautical miles off the coast.

NCB said the seizure was part of an ongoing joint operation to crack down on the international drug trafficking network.
