Telangana Tourism Minister leads anti-drug rally in Adilabad

Tourism and District In-charge Minister Jupally Krishna Rao reviewed and launched several development projects during his visit to Adilabad on Friday, 27 June.

As part of Anti-Narcotics Week, the Minister led an anti-drug rally in Adilabad town. Addressing youth and students, he urged them to avoid substance abuse and adopt healthier lifestyles through yoga and meditation.

At RIMS Hospital, he conducted a surprise inspection of the outpatient, emergency, and inpatient wards. He directed officials to address issues related to water leakage and sanitation, and stressed the need to improve facilities, fill doctor vacancies, and strengthen medical services across the district.

In Utnoor, the Minister, along with MP Nagesh, Collector Rajarshi Shah, and MLA Vedma Bojju, laid the foundation stone for upgrading the Primary Health Centre into a 100-bed community hospital at a cost of ₹13.70 lakh. The initiative aims to improve healthcare access in tribal areas.

Promoting urban greenery and liveability, Jupally also launched development works at Maval Urban Park. He took part in a plantation drive alongside public representatives, reaffirming the government’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
