Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who felt unwell on Sunday, 12 March, underwent treatment at AIG Hospitals in Gachibowli in Hyderabad.
AIG Hospitals Chairman and Chief of Gastroenterology D Nageshwar Reddy said in a statement that Chandrashekar Rao developed abdominal discomfort on Sunday morning, following which he was examined.
KCR was brought to AIG Hospitals, where a CT scan and an endoscopy were performed.
The tests led to a small ulcer being found in the stomach. The statement said it was being managed medically.
“Chandrashekar Rao’s all other parameters are normal. Appropriate medication has been started,” said Nageshwar Reddy in the statement.
The chief minister’s family members, including daughter K Kavitha, Health Minister T Harish Rao, and senior BRS leaders, accompanied him to the hospital.
The information pertaining to the chief minister’s health problem left the BRS leaders worried.
The cadre later heaved a sigh of relief after doctors said that all other parameters of the chief minister were normal.
