The family has another kid, an infant. The temperature was hot so we slept outside the houses. The man should be punished,” said the deceased child’s relative.

CM Revanth Reddy reacts

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed the Director General of Police (DGP), Ravi Gupta to issue orders to carry out a full-scale investigation in the minor rape case in Peddapally district. He asked the Police to file a chargesheet and punish the accused quickly.

Speaking about the crime, DCP of Peddaplli told South First, “The child’s parents have also been working in the rice mill for a long time now and the families working in rice mill have been allotted single rooms within its compound. The accused recently joined the rice mill and unknown to the parents of the child. He is married and has children but they stay in another state.
