Prime Minister Narendra will take part in public meetings to be conducted as part of the election campaign in Telangana on 7, 11, and 19 November.

The Telangana BJP leadership is preparing to conduct public meetings in Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Adilabad, and Nalgonda districts.

This is Modi’s first rally in the state since Union Home Minister Amit Shah declared that a leader from the Backward Classes (BC) would be made chief minister if the BJP was voted to power in the 30 November Assembly elections.

BJP to intensify election campaign

The party is also planning to intensify the election campaign from 15 November, after the process related to the submission of nominations is completed, sources said.

They added that BJP national president JP Nadda, Amit Shah, and other Union ministers and senior party leaders will also take part in the campaign.

The central leadership has also decided to provide three helicopters for the senior state leaders, including Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Union Tourism Minister and Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy, OBC Morcha national president K Laxman, and BJP MLA Eatala Rajender.

Bandi Sanjay is likely to use one helicopter, while others will utilise the remaining two choppers, it is believed.

Bandi Sanjay slams Rahu Gandhi

Meanwhile, Bandi Sanjay took strong exception to Congress MP Rahul Gandhi asking the BJP how it could make a BC leader a chief minister when it has only 2 percent of the votes in Telangana.

In a statement, Bandi Sanjay said that Rahul Gandhi’s remarks were nothing but misleading to the people in the state.

The statements of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s son KT Rama Rao and Rahul Gandhi were aimed at hatching a conspiracy to not make a BC leader a chief minister, Sanjay said.

He demanded that Rahul Gandhi seek votes from the BC communities only after tendering an apology to them.
