At the inauguration of the Shilpa Layout Phase-2 PJR Flyover on Saturday, 28 June, Minister D Sridhar Babu emphasised the Telangana government’s ambitious plans to transform Hyderabad into a global metropolis. Honouring the legacy of late leader P Janardhan Reddy, the six-lane, 1.2 km flyover aims to ease congestion at Gachibowli Junction and improve connectivity to Kondapur, Hi-Tech City, and the Financial District.

With ₹10,000 crore allocated for urban development in 2024–25 and the ₹7,032 crore H-CITI project underway, Hyderabad is set for a major infrastructure upgrade, including 28 flyovers and smart traffic signals powered by AI. Plans for a 30,000-acre “Future City” further reflect the vision of a net-zero, world-class urban zone.

While addressing criticism and political opposition, Sridhar Babu reiterated the government’s commitment to inclusive growth, innovation, and sustainable development for Hyderabad and future generations.
