Lenskart to build one of the world’s largest eyewear manufacturing facilities in Telangana

Lenskart, a global leader in eyewear manufacturing, has announced plans to establish one of the world’s largest eyewear production facilities in Telangana, with a substantial investment of ₹1,500 crore.
The new facility will be located at Tukkuguda’s Non-SEZ General Park and is expected to create approximately 1,600 jobs.
On Thursday, 6 March, Telangana’s IT and Industries Minister, Sridhar Babu, laid the foundation stone for the ambitious project, marking a significant milestone in the state’s industrial landscape.
The facility is set to begin production within two years, with full-scale operations anticipated within four years. The project follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Telangana government and Lenskart on 8 December, 2022.
The new plant will manufacture eyewear products for export to several global markets, including Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia.
This expansion is expected to further establish Telangana as a key player in global manufacturing.
This new initiative is expected to transform Telangana’s industrial landscape, bringing in advanced manufacturing technologies and contributing significantly to the state’s economic growth and employment opportunities.
