Synopsis: Addressing Rahul Gandhi, KTR questioned, “You speak of the ‘voice of students’; can’t you hear the voice of Telangana’s students? Can’t you hear their echo? Can’t you see how much anger and outrage there is? Can’t you see and understand the damage done by your chief minister? “
BRS working president and Siricilla MLA KT Rama Rao (KTR) on Saturday, 5 September,challenged LoP in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi to hear Telangana “Chhatron Ki Goonj”.
He was addressing the people as part of BRS’ “Porubaata” programme, against Congress’ “1,000-days of misrule”, in Karimnagar.
Targeting Rahul Gandhi’s flagship campaign against the Union government, KTR said the Congress leader should instead come to Karimnagar and listen to the actual concerns of Telangana’s students, where his government is in power.
Launching a sharp attack on Rahul Gandhi and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, KTR accused them of betraying Telangana’s youth and students by failing to fulfil their electoral promises.
“Rahul Gandhi is changing colours from state to state. You are talking about ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ across India. I demand that you come to Karimnagar in Telangana and listen to the problems of our students. You will hear the real Goonj of students here. Come to Karimnagar and listen to the voice of Telangana’s students,” the BRS MLA said.

Inviting the Lok Sabha LoP to Telangana, KTR said, “Come to Telangana, come to Ashok Nagar, Hyderabad, come to Karimnagar. We will show our hospitality, we will feed you biryani and Irani chai, you just come and talk. You will know how well your government is working.”
KTR also criticised Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, claiming the promised job calendar had not been delivered as expected. “There is no job calendar, only a ‘scam calendar’,” he alleged.
He further questioned about the promised two lakh jobs every year.
“They said they would set up a Youth Commission, did they actually establish it? They also promised scooties for college-going girls, did those scooties reach the beneficiaries? And what happened to the promised ₹4,000 unemployment allowance?”
