Synopsis: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) on Monday issued legal notices to Telangana Congress chief Mahesh Kumar Goud, Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna accusing them of falsely claiming that Kondapochamma Sagar water was diverted to the farmhouse of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. The party demanded that the leaders remove their social media posts and withdraw the claims, alleging that they were intended to damage Rao’s reputation.
The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) legal cell on Monday, 19 October, issued legal notices to Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud, Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna, accusing them of falsely claiming that Kondapochamma Sagar water was diverted to the farmhouse of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
The notices, sent by BRS general secretary and legal cell in-charge Soma Bharat Kumar, ask the three leaders to immediately and unconditionally remove the related posts from their social media accounts and withdraw the claims. The party says the campaign is intended to damage the reputation of the state’s first chief minister.
The move follows the BRS serving a similar notice on Telugu daily Velugu over its 17 October exclusive report. The Velugu notice gave the paper 24 hours from receipt to withdraw the story and apologise. BRS said that the three Congress leaders had spread the same narrative.

The legal cell said it would not tolerate attempts to mislead people with baseless allegations against Telangana’s irrigation projects. It warned that if the leaders do not respond to the notices, the party will pursue further legal action under applicable laws, including defamation proceedings.
Minister Ponguleti posted a video of V6 News‘ video story on Kondapochamma water being diverted to KCR’s farmhouse on his X account and wrote, “They came to power promising water, funds, and jobs for the people, but during their 10 years, they spent funds like water. They built farmhouses on 100s of acres of land and irrigated them with public money.”
MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna, whose sister Vaishnavi is the managing director of VIL Media, shared a video on X, criticising the BRS, KCR and working president KTR over the farmhouse irrigation issue.
“They boasted that Kaleswaram is the biggest lift irrigation project in the world. Now why aren’t they responding to allegations of corruption and irregularities? I demand a thorough investigation into the diversion of Kondapochamma water to the farmhouse and the allegations that a 10 Crore Litres capacity pond has been constructed at the cost of Rs 100 Crore,” he said.

కానీ కేసీఆర్ ఆ ప్రాజెక్టును రీడిజైన్ చేసి, 2016లో కాళేశ్వరం భారీ లిఫ్ట్ ఇరిగేషన్ ప్రాజెక్టుగా మార్చారు. ప్రపంచంలోనే అతిపెద్ద లిఫ్ట్ ఇరిగేషన్ ప్రాజెక్టు అంటూ గొప్పలు చెప్పుకున్న బీఆర్ఎస్ నాయకత్వం, ఈ ప్రాజెక్టుపై వస్తున్న అవినీతి, అవకతవకల ఆరోపణలకు ఎందుకు సమాధానం చెప్పడం లేదు?
KTR అంకుల్.. ప్రపంచంలోనే అతిపెద్ద ప్రాజెక్టు అని చెప్పుకున్నారు. మరి అవినీతి ఆరోపణలపై ప్రజలకు సమాధానం చెప్పే ధైర్యం ఉందా?
కొండపోచమ్మ సాగర్ నుంచి కేసీఆర్ ఫామ్‌హౌస్‌కు పైపుల ద్వారా నీటిని తరలించారనే ఆరోపణలతో పాటు, సుమారు రూ.100 కోట్లతో 10 కోట్ల లీటర్ల సామర్థ్యం కలిగిన చెరువును ఏర్పాటు చేశారనే ఆరోపణలపై సమగ్ర విచారణ జరగాలని డిమాండ్ చేస్తున్నాను.
ప్రజల కోసం నిర్మించిన ప్రాజెక్టులు వ్యక్తిగత ప్రయోజనాలకు ఉపయోగపడ్డాయా? ప్రజాధనం ఎవరి కోసం ఖర్చయింది? ఈ ప్రశ్నలకు స్పష్టమైన సమాధానాలు రావాలి.

తెలంగాణ ప్రజల ఆకాంక్షలను, రైతుల ప్రయోజనాలను కాపాడేందుకు, ప్రజాధనం వినియోగంలో పారదర్శకత కోసం నిరంతరం ప్రశ్నిస్తూనే ఉంటాను.
ప్రజాధనం ప్రజల కోసమే ఖర్చు కావాలి. ప్రతి రూపాయికి జవాబుదారీతనం ఉండాలి!
