Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Wednesday, 12 April, said that the BRS was trying to fill the vacuum that exists at the national level to provide the right leadership.
Addressing a congregation of Muslims after hosting iftar for them at LB Stadium in Hyderabad, he said that it was time for everyone to take a measured and thoughtful decision to protect the country. “This is not the time to take decisions in a fit of emotion,” he said.
The chief minister reiterated that there might be difficulties while making the effort to save the nation, but at the end of the day, it would be rewarded with justice.

He said that there was a heartening response to the BRS in Maharashtra and added that the nation was looking for a leader who could lead them on the road to prosperity. He said he would make every effort to save the nation from careening into chaos.
He said that it was necessary for cultures of all regions to coexist like Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb. He said that his government had been striving for the amelioration of minorities and that it had already spent ₹12,000 crore for their welfare over the last nine years.
KCR expressed satisfaction over Telangana making rapid strides in all sectors.
He said that the state’s GDP was on a high growth orbit and that the state stood first among all states in per capita income.
Even in the per capita consumption of power, Telangana was showing the way for the others.
The state with its welfare programmes had brought down the incidence of farmers’ suicides and unemployment rate, he said.
