Announcing the initiative, Phaniraj Jaligama, Chief Executive Officer of Aja Consulting Services LLP, said the company will provide a subsidy of ₹10,000 for employees purchasing four-wheeler EVs and ₹5,000 for those opting for two-wheeler EVs.

Speaking on the occasion, Phaniraj Jaligama said the Prime Minister recently urged citizens to adopt carpooling and switch to EVs in view of the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict, which has resulted in rising fuel prices and concerns over fuel shortages. He noted that reducing fuel consumption would help the nation save valuable foreign exchange reserves.

“To encourage the adoption of EVs and support the Prime Minister’s vision for sustainable transportation, we have introduced a Green Policy, also referred to as our EV Policy, for employees,” he said.

The company stated that the initiative is aimed at promoting environmentally sustainable practices while encouraging employees to embrace clean and energy-efficient transportation solutions.
