Hyderabad: Three-year-old boy killed in hit-and-run at IS Sadan
CCTV footage of the event shows Izhaan crossing the road on his own to follow his father before doubling back onto the road, narrowly avoiding a scooter before being hit by the SUV.
Synopsis:A three-year-old boy, Mohd Izhaan Moueed, was killed after an SUV hit him at IS Sadan X Roads in Hyderabad late on Saturday night, 19 September. The driver fled the spot after the accident, according to police. Izhaan was with his parents near Fusion Food Hub when he followed his father and was returning to his mother as the Mahindra XUV 500 travelling from Bhoji Reddy College towards IS Sadan X Roads struck him.
A three-year-old boy was fatally hit by an SUV at IS Sadan X Roads in Hyderabad, Telangana late on Saturday night, 19 September. The driver fled the spot after the accident, according to police.
The child, identified as Mohd Izhaan Moueed, was a resident of Old Santosh Nagar Colony. According to the complaint filed by his father, MA Moueed, he had travelled on a scooter with his wife, Hafsa Moueed, and their son to Fusion Food Hub, beside Sweekar Hotel, around 11 pm to collect a food parcel.
While the mother and child waited near the scooter parked opposite Fusion Food Hub, Moueed went inside to collect the parcel.

The boy was taken to Shalini Hospital, where doctors confirmed that he had been brought dead. He was subsequently taken to Owaisi Hospital in Kanchanbagh.
Police have registered an FIR under Section 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
AIMIM leader and Yakutpura MLA Jaffar Hussain Meraj reached the spot after learning about the accident. In a post on X, Meraj said he was following up on the case with the police and that the vehicle’s number had been noted.
