Hyderabad shivers through coldest morning in seven years, Cold wave to continue till 16 December

Synopsis: According to early morning automatic weather station readings by Telangana Weatherman, HCU Serilingampally was the coldest spot in the city at 6.3°C, followed by Moula Ali (7.1°C) and Rajendranagar (7.7°C).

Hyderabad experienced its coldest morning in seven years on Friday, 12 December, with temperatures dipping sharply across several neighbourhoods and the city’s outskirts witnessing near-freezing conditions.

According to early morning automatic weather station readings by Telangana Weatherman, HCU Serilingampally was the coldest spot in the city at 6.3°C, followed by Moula Ali (7.1°C) and Rajendranagar (7.7°C).

Several other areas hovered between 8°C and 12°C, marking an unusually chilly December morning for the Greater Hyderabad region.

The independent weather forecaster, Telangana Weatherman, has warned of an intense cold wave across Telangana State till 16 December. The temperature ranges between between 6–9°C and 9–12°C respectively.

The peak chill is forecast between 10 and 13 December, with daytime conditions remaining sunny and skies largely clear.

Residents have been advised to stay warm, particularly during early mornings and evenings.
