Praveen Kumar had criticised the house arrest, calling it, “This detention is reminiscent of Indira’s Emergency. Again, they are shamelessly calling it public rule (Prajala palana)! They have been creating obstacles to our meetings since the beginning.”
Former Minister and Maheshwaram MLA lashed out at the police, claiming, “What is this about obstructing a meeting being held with court permission? It does not suit the Revanth government to discriminate against the unemployed.”
Later, the former minister also reached the Saroornagar stadium.
The party had planned the program to highlight the Congress government’s failure to fulfil its promises on jobs and student welfare, where BRS Working President KTR is scheduled to address the public meeting.
The party had made extensive arrangements for the event and had called upon unemployed youth and students to attend in large numbers.
