A Secunderabad Court on Tuesday, October 6, granted relief to BRS leader Manne Krishank in a case filed against him over allegations involving Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s daughter, Nymisha Reddy.

Krishank was arrested by Hyderabad Cyber Crimes police earlier in the day. The 10th Metropolitan Magistrate granted him bail on two sureties, without imposing any conditions.

Following the release of Krishank, BRS leaders held a press meet on the court premises and doubled down on their accusations of corruption against the chief minister and his family.

Speaking to reporters, Krishank said it was his duty as a party representative to speak out on issues affecting the people, and that holding a press meet at Telangana Bhavan was part of that responsibility.

He reiterated his allegations about business investments of the chief minister’s family and said, “I only have one thing to ask CM Revanth Reddy. Instead of filing cases and harassing me, please address the allegations and issue a clarification.”

He said he and his family, especially his school-going daughter, had been under severe mental stress due to the constant police presence, but added that he would continue to amplify issues that concern the people of Telangana.

BRS MLC Dasoju Shravan Kumar said, “This is the second time this government has tried to implicate Krishank in a false case. We thank the honourable Court for granting bail. The Congress government’s approach is like the pot calling the kettle black. Their mistakes are out in the open, but they are brazenly using the police to file false cases and harass people.”

Shravan Kumar said that instead of being accountable and answerable to the people, the government was going after those who dared to expose its corruption with evidence.

BRS General Secretary R.S. Praveen Kumar alleged that Telangana Police had deployed undercover personnel near Krishank’s residence to continuously monitor his movements.

“They have deployed personnel as if his home needs observation like the China, Pakistan, or Bangladesh borders. Why are they doing this? Because in the last three years, the Chief Minister’s family alone has increased their wealth to Rs 50,000 crore, and Krishank presented it with proof. So far, you have filed 50 cases against him, including cases under British-era laws. Is he a terrorist that you’re treating him in such a way?” asked Praveen Kumar.

He then alleged that the police had refused to register FIRs based on complaints filed by opposition parties and members of the general public.

At a press conference held last week, Krishank alleged that Nymisha Reddy had obtained permissions for launching a private international school in Kompally. He also alleged that the family had investments in Medicover hospitals and Maxbien Pharma. He called for an independent investigation by the Enforcement Directorate into the businesses, investments and assets held by the CM’s family.
