Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, on Sunday, 19 February, said in Hyderabad that the party would drive out the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) from Telangana, and asked the cadre in the city to work hard to accomplish it.

“If the youth dedicate their precious time for the next eight months, the BJP will take the responsibility of bringing Rama Rajyam in Telangana,” he said while participating in a procession organised by the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Sevadal to celebrate the birth anniversary of Shivaji.

“Let’s work hard for the next eight months to hoist the saffron flag at Golconda Fort and establish Rama Rajyam,” he said, asking the youth to fight with the spirit of Shivaji and show their courage with a weapon of the vote.

“We want everyone to participate in the holy yagna to win the elections,” Bandi Sanjay said.

“If a party with 12 percent votes wins seven seats in Telangana, how many seats should we win with 80 percent votes in the state? The day has come to show the mettle of Hindus,” he said, calling upon people to fight against the AIMIM in a united manner and defeat it in the next elections.

‘Secretariat domes will be demolished’

He reiterated the domes on the newly-constructed Secretariat would be demolished and altered to promote Telangana’s culture if the BJP was voted to power.

Bandi Sanjay accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of demolishing the old Secretariat and constructing a new building with domes only to see happiness in the eyes of AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi.

The new Secretariat building was now looking like the Taj Mahal, he said.

Sanjay challenged Owaisi to contest 119 Assembly seats in the next elections, and said that the BJP would ensure that the AIMIM would not be able to reclaim its deposit.

Even if the Congress and the BRS forged an alliance and contested the next elections, the BJP would fight against the two parties alone and form the government, he said.
