He accused the AIADMK of being in a direct alliance with the BJP, and the DMK of being in a hidden alliance, cautioning voters: “In the coming election, if you vote for the DMK, it is the same as voting for the BJP.”

Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam chief Vijay sharpened his attack on both the AIADMK–BJP alliance and the DMK during his campaign tour in Namakkal, the fifth district of his statewide election campaign.
Speaking to the crowd, on Saturday, 27 September, Vijay alleged that voting for the DMK was no different from voting for the BJP.
He criticised both alliances as deceptive and opportunistic, saying, “We will not ally with the fascist BJP like the DMK has done indirectly. Nor will we act like the AIADMK, which once kept repeating ‘Amma, Amma’ and then went against Jayalalithaa’s word by joining hands with the BJP.”
Vijay also referred to Namakkal’s industrial significance, mentioning the lorry body–building industry and the poet Namakkal Kavignar, who penned “Tamilan endru sollada, thalai nimirndhu nillada” (“Say you are a Tamil, stand tall with pride”).
Targeting the DMK, he asked whether promises such as building a memorial for Subburayalu Reddiar, who introduced the communal G.O., had been fulfilled. He further questioned the DMK’s record on implementing its election promises.
Raising the recent kidney racket in Namakkal, Vijay alleged that the ruling party was linked to the scandal. He vowed that if his party came to power, those involved in such crimes would be punished severely, irrespective of who they were. “We only give promises that are practical. Unlike the DMK, we will not give false promises,” he said.

Vijay also slammed the BJP government at the Centre, asking: “What has the BJP government done for Tamil Nadu? Has it scrapped NEET? Given the full funds needed for education? Has it fulfilled Tamil Nadu’s rightful demands?”
