Six dead, over 40 injured in collision between two private buses near Kadayanallur

More than 40 people, including children, sustained serious injuries and have been admitted to the Tenkasi Government Hospital for treatment.

Synopsis: Expressing deep sorrow over the incident, Chief Minister MK Stalin said he has instructed the district’s Minister in charge, KKSSR Ramachandran, to rush to the spot immediately. He also directed the District Collector—who briefed him from the accident site—to go to the government hospital and ensure that all the injured receive the highest quality medical care.

A major road accident occurred near Achampatti, close to Kadayanallur in Tenkasi district, when two private buses collided head-on.

More than 40 people, including children, sustained serious injuries and have been admitted to the Tenkasi Government Hospital for treatment.

Expressing deep sorrow over the incident, Chief Minister MK Stalin said he has instructed the district’s Minister in charge, KKSSR Ramachandran, to rush to the spot immediately. The Chief Minister conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the six people who lost their lives and assured that the government will extend full support for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Among the six deceased, five are women, and one man.

One man has been identified as Vanaraj, from Tenkasi, two women have been identified as Thenmozhi, and Malika from Kadayanallur, and Puliyangudi.

The three other unidentified women are aged 30, and 50 years.
