Two more killed as wild animals keep Kerala on tenterhooks

While a farmer was killed by a bison in Kannur, a wild elephant trampled a woman to death in Thrissur's Athirappally.

The issue of human-animal conflicts continues to haunt Kerala as two elderly persons lost their lives in attacks by wild animals in Kozhikode and Thrissur, respectively, on 5 March. Abraham (70) was attacked by an Indian gaur at his farm in the Kakkayam area, while Valsa (62) was attacked by a wild elephant in a forest area near Athirappally.
