The Dakshina Kannada District Disaster Management Authority has restricted trekking and adventure activities across the district because of the monsoon. The prohibition includes all forms of trekking organised by homestays, resorts, and the Forest Department until the monsoon ends. Residents and tourists have been advised to exercise caution and refrain from activities that could endanger their safety.
