Tamil Nadu has appealed to youth seeking employment abroad, particularly in South East Asian countries, to first verify the antecedents of recruitment agents and companies. The advisory comes in the wake of rescue of 83 Tamil youth from Cambodia, Thailand and Myanmar, where they were taken on tourist visas as prospective IT recruits and forcibly engaged in ‘illegal online activities.’
