In the case of last week’s murder of Anu, a woman from Perambra in Kerala’s Kozhikode, the police reportedly stumbled on CCTV footage that captured suspect Mujeeb’s movements and attire before and after the crime. The video reportedly shows him with wet trousers which the police claim happened because he dragged Anu into a stream and trampled her to death.
