Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan terminated the services of two Vice-Chancellors (VCs) on Thursday. MK Jayaraj and MV Narayanan of the University of Calicut and the Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit were asked to vacate their posts as their appointments were found to violate the UGC regulations. Earlier, several VCs had approached the high court after getting show-cause notices.
