After two phases and five more, we no longer hear ‘Ab ki baar 400 paar’. There’s no wave or a common theme countrywide, local issues dominant over Brand Narendra Modi. What happens to Modi and Amit Shah if BJP on its own doesn’t cross 270, and whether allies remain with them or look for options are questions for another day.
