Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin said the Citizenship (Amendment) Act is a precursor and the BJP will bring laws to target people “speaking different languages”. Referring to BJP’s ‘India shining’ campaign ahead of the 2004 Lok Sabha polls, Stalin said surveys then had predicted a pro-BJP wave, but the results favoured the UPA. “History will repeat itself,” he said.
