BJP has announced Dr TN Vamsha Tilak as its candidate in Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly by-election. He is the son of former minister TN Sada Lakshmi. BJP nominated Tilak after N Sri Ganesh left BJP to contest the bypoll on a Congress candidate. The by-election was necessitated by the death of incumbent BRS MLA Lasya Nanditha in an accident near Hyderabad.
