A day after the Election Commission had barred the AP government’s ward and village volunteers from carrying out their activities such as disbursing welfare benefits, the state government circulated guidelines for all village and ward-level secretariat staff to carry out pension disbursement. Elections for the 175-member Assembly and 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra are scheduled for 13 May.
