DMK has allotted the rest of the 18 seats in Tamil Nadu to its allies —Congress, Left parties and VCK among others.

The DMK on Wednesday 20 March, released the list of candidates for its share of 21 seats in Tamil Nadu. Sitting MPs Kanimozhi, TR Baalu, S Jagathrakshakan and Dayanidhi Maran have been retained. All the controversies sitting MP and former Union minister A Raja has landed in over ‘Sanatana dharma’ remarks, made no difference to the DMK, which has retained his candidature.
