Focused on the origin of money

Following allegations that the money was paid to them in lakhs through hawala channels for giving the question papers, the ED primarily focused on the origin of money and how it was routed to the two key accused.

This apart, the investigators also focused on how they got the question papers and sold them to the needy at a high price.

The information collected from the TSPSC confidential section room in-charge Shankara Lakshmi when she appeared before the ED at its office in Basheerbagh a few days ago also helped the ED to get more details from Praveen and Rajashekhar and corroborate it.

The ED team went to the prison after a local court in Hyderabad granted two-day ED custody of Praveen and Rajashekhar.
