Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, 7 April, praised a debutant BJP candidate from Hyderabad constituency for the upcoming Lok Sabha election — Madhavi Latha, who will be fighting against four-time Member of Parliament, AIMIM’s Asaduddin Owaisi.

The compliment comes as a boost to her campaign and a fillip to her profile in the process of perception building ahead of Lok Sabha polls 2024.

Modi’s compliment was on Madhavi Latha’s recent episode on Aap Ki Adalat, which was telecast on India TV on Sunday.

PM Modi posted on X, “Madhavi Latha Ji, your ‘Aap Ki Adalat’ episode is exceptional. You’ve made excellent points and also done so with logic and passion. My best wishes to you. I also urge everyone to watch the repeat telecast of this program at 10 AM or 10 PM today. You all will find it very informative.”

“Modi ji I got the courage to speak the truth fearlessly from you only and our party motto #SabkaSathSabkaVikas is my inspiration. We will follow the path you showed until the last breath and will progress only if the nation moves forward unitedly,” Madhavi Latha responded on X.

Allegations of bogus votes, electoral fraud

Madhavi Latha, during the program, pledged to speak truth differently by reciting a prayer to God.

Dubbed as “Tigress” by her admirers, Madhavi Latha explained how she had given people confidence during the recent clashes in Chengicherla, where tensions between religious groups boiled over into violence.

As the show progressed, she trained her guns on Asaduddin Salahuddin Owaisi, the veteran four-time Lok Sabha member representing the Hyderabad constituency.

She didn’t mince words, alleging that the presence of alleged fraudulent votes (Bogus votes) makes elections a farce, and anyone, regardless of merit, can emerge victorious.

With a staggering 6.2 lakh registered votes at stake, Madhavi Latha alleged that 1.6 lakh individuals appear on the electoral rolls of multiple constituencies.

A quick visit to the Election Commission’s website reveals discrepancies in voting patterns across areas like Chandrayangutta, Yakatpura, and Charminar, raising serious questions about the integrity of the electoral process, she alleged.

Attack on Owaisi

In a scathing attack on Asaduddin Owaisi, Madhavi Latha called attention to discrepancies in his nomination filings, highlighting his purported ownership of a Jaguar Land Rover registered under ‘Kingsradio Exim Private Limited.’

This company has come under scrutiny for its alleged involvement in financial irregularities, prompting investigations by enforcement agencies, she said.

Madhavi Latha alleged that Owaisi allegedly diverted a Muslim student’s aspirations from pursuing higher education to managing a shop instead.

Furthermore, she accused Owaisi of obstructing progressive legislation like the CAA and the Women’s Reservation Bill, alleging that his reluctance stems from a desire to suppress the advancement of women in society.
