Former Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao hospitalised with high blood sugar, low sodium levels

“Medications have been started to control diabetes and to increase sodium levels. His condition is stable,” the hospital said.

Former Telangana Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samiti supremo K Chandrashekar Rao was admitted to Yashoda Hospital in Hyderabad’s Somajiguda on the evening of Wednesday, 3 July after he complained of general weakness.

According to an official statement released by the hospital, preliminary investigations revealed that Rao had high blood sugar levels and low sodium levels.

“All the other vital parameters are within the normal limits,” the statement added.

Dr MV Rao, Senior Consultant – General Physician at Yashoda Hospital, who is overseeing the treatment, confirmed that the former chief minister is under close observation.

“Medications have been started to control diabetes and to increase sodium levels. His condition is stable,” the statement added.
