Synopsis: Rajin was carrying his only child, Iman, to the nursery when the man slipped on a toy and the child fell from his arms and suffered a fatal head injury.
A normal school day morning turned tragic for a family at Parassala in Thiruvananthapuram after a 4-year-old boy slipped from his father’s arms and suffered a fatal head injury.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, 17 June, when Rajin was carrying his son, Iman, in his arms. The father and son were about to leave their house for Iman’s nursery at the Marayamuttam Government Lower Primary School when tragedy struck.
Rajin slipped on a toy on the floor of the house, and Iman fell from his arms and injured his head. The boy’s parents, Rajin and Dhanya, immediately rushed him to the Sree Avittam Thirunal (SAT) Hospital, where the boy received emergency care. He later underwent a surgery.
Despite the doctors’ best efforts, the boy breathed his last later in the night. Iman was the only child of Rajin and Dhanya, residents of Panayarakkal near Parassala.
