Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
Exhorting all government departments to immediately complete the arrangements for the file adalat scheduled from 1 July to 31 August, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan asked secretaries to supervise the multilevel clearing of files without any delay.
Files will be cleared at three levels: The Secretariat, department heads, and those institutions with maximum public interface. A guideline to resolve inter-department file delays, specifically those awaiting remarks for extended periods, will be issued.
Special focus will be on the Finance Department, which has a large volume of pending files. The chief secretary will monitor the progress and organise dedicated adalats, if required. An IT portal for tracking and reporting files is also considered.
