A free one-day entrepreneurship workshop organized by the NORKA Business Facilitation Center (NBFC) equipped 70 expatriates and returnees with essential skills to launch their own ventures in Kerala.
Held at the Maramon Marthoma Retreat Center in Kozhenchery, Pathanamthitta, the initiative aimed to empower those who returned home after years of working abroad.
The workshop was inaugurated by NORKA Roots General Manager Rashmi, with Pathanamthitta District Industrial Center General Manager P.N. Anilkumar presiding.
Kerala Pravasi Welfare Board Director George Varghese and NORKA Roots PRO C. Manilal addressed the gathering, while NBFC Projects Manager K.V. Suresh led a comprehensive guidance session.
Participants received practical insights into legal formalities, business idea generation, project report preparation, marketing strategies, financial assistance options, GST procedures, and licensing requirements.
The event also featured success stories of established entrepreneurs, offering valuable inspiration.
NBFC, functioning as a single-window support system at the NORKA Center in Thiruvananthapuram, promotes NRI investments and businesses.
