posted on X criticizing Rahul Gandhi and Congress’s allegations of electoral fraud after the recent Lok Sabha elections.

Criticising Rahul Gandhi, the BJP leader posed five pointed questions challenging Congress’s claims, noting that the voter rolls and officials were under Congress’s administration, “Booth Level Agents received lists before polls, and processes for verification and legal objection were available to Congress candidates,” he added.

Five questions by R Ashoka

  • During the Lok Sabha elections, Karnataka was under your Congress government. The Election Commission worked with officers appointed by your own administration. On what basis are you blaming the BJP, the Prime Minister, or the central government?
  • Like every other party, Congress appointed Booth Level Agents (BLAs) in every booth – cleared by KPCC President D.K. Shivakumar. These BLAs received the voter list well before polling. Are you unaware of this basic fact, Mr. Gandhi? Or were your BLAs sleeping on the job – like you often do?
  • The revised draft voter list is published 3–4 months before any election and shared with all parties. Booth workers then go door-to-door to verify voters and distribute slips. What exactly was Congress doing during this crucial pre-poll period?
  • Candidates have 45 days after results to file objections in court. Your candidates had a full year. Were they waiting for the perfect moment to rush for anticipatory bail ahead of the inevitable Bihar loss?
  • Your own Congress cabinet in Karnataka decided to use the same publicly available voter list for internal reservation surveys among SCs and OBCs. If CM Siddaramaiah and his cabinet trust the voter list, why don’t you?

Ashoka further added, “You chest-thump when you win 135 seats. But when you lose, you cry foul, attack the Election Commission, and slander opponents. Kannadigas are not naive to buy this drama. Accept the people’s verdict – and act like a responsible Opposition leader.”
