Synopsis: Karnataka government transferred 35 police officials and appointed them in different posts. Numerous key positions in the state police have been reshuffled.

In a major reshuffle of IPS officers in the state, the Karnataka government on Monday, 14 July, transferred 35 police officials and appointed them to different posts.

However, the government has not specified the reason for the reshuffle in its transfer notification. This, the largest such exercise this year, has also filled several vacant posts in the state police.

Several key positions in the Karnataka Police have also been reshuffled.

The transfers

The officials who were transferred are:

1. Dr Chandragupta, Inspector General of Police & Additional Commissioner of Police, Crimes, Bengaluru City, is transferred and posted as Inspector General of Police, North Eastern Range, Kalaburgi, replacing Ajay Hilori.
2. Ajay Hilori, Deputy Inspector General of Police, North Eastern Range, Kalaburgi, is transferred and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police and Joint Commissioner of Police, Crimes, Bengaluru City, replacing Dr Chandragupta.
3. MN Anucheth, Deputy Inspector General & Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Bengaluru City, is transferred and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Recruitment, to the vacant post.
4. Iada Martin Marbaniang, who had been awaiting posting, is posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police (Administration), Police Headquarters, Bengaluru, in the downgraded vacant post.
5. Vartika Katiyar, Deputy Inspector General & Additional Commandant General, Home Guards & Ex-officio Additional Director, Civil Defence, Bengaluru, is transferred and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Bellary Range, in the downgraded vacant post.
6. Karthik Reddy, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Administration, State Police Headquarters, Bengaluru, is transferred and posted as Deputy Inspector General & Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Bengaluru City, replacing MN Anucheth.
7. KM Shantharaju, Superintendent of Police, KGF, is transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Intelligence, replacing K Parashurama.
8. DR Siri Gowri, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, North Division, Bengaluru City, is transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB), replacing Shivanshu Rajput.
9. K Parashurama, Superintendent of Police, Intelligence, is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Whitefield Division, Bengaluru City, replacing Dr Shivakumar.
10. Dr Anoop A Shetty, Superintendent of Police, Criminal Investigation Department, Cyber Crime, is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, West Division, Bengaluru City, replacing Anita Bhimappa Haddannavar.
11. Dr Suman D Pennekar, Superintendent of Police, Bengaluru Metropolitan Task Force (BMTF), Bengaluru, is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Intelligence, to the vacant post.
12. Shiva Prakash Devaraju, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, South Division, Bengaluru City, is transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Karnataka Lokayukta, to the vacant post.
13. Jayaprakash, Superintendent of Police, Intelligence, is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, North Division, Bengaluru City, replacing DR Siri Gowri.
14. Narayana M, Superintendent of Police, Uttara Kannada District, is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Electronic City, to the vacant post.
15. Anita Bhimappa Haddannavar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, West Division, Bengaluru City, is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, South West, to the vacant post.
16. Hakay Akshay Machhindra, Deputy Commissioner of Police, City Crime Branch-1, is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Division, Bengaluru City, to the vacant post.
17. Nagesh DL, Deputy Commissioner of Police, City Armed Reserve Headquarters, is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, North West Division, Bengaluru City, to the vacant post.
18. Dr Simi Mariam George, Joint Director, Forensic Science Laboratory, Bengaluru, is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, South Division, Bengaluru City, replacing Shiva Prakash Devaraju.
19. Yatish N, who had been awaiting posting, is posted as Superintendent of Police, Railways, replacing Dr SK Soumyalatha.
20. Saidulu Adavath, Deputy Commissioner of Police, North Division, Bengaluru City, is transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Criminal Investigation Department, to the vacant post.
21. Dr Shivakumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Whitefield Division, Bengaluru City, is transferred and posted as Additional Inspector General of Police (AIGP), Police Headquarters, Bengaluru, to the vacant post.
22. Amarnath Reddy Y, Superintendent of Police, Bagalkot, is transferred and posted as Commandant, 1st Battalion, Karnataka State Reserve Police, Bengaluru, replacing Deepan MN.
23. Srihari Babu BL, Superintendent of Police, Vijayanagara District, is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Crime-1, replacing Hakay Akshay Machhindra.
24. Yashodha Vantagodi, Superintendent of Police, Prisons, is transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Haveri, replacing Anshu Kumar.
25. Dr SK Soumyalatha, Superintendent of Police, Railways, is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, City Armed Reserve Headquarters, replacing Nagesh DL.
26. Anshu Kumar, Superintendent of Police, Haveri, is transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Prisons, replacing Yashodha Vantagodi.
27. Gunjan Arya, Superintendent of Police, Intelligence, is transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Dharwad, replacing Dr Gopal M Byakod.
28. Babasab Nemagoud, Superintendent of Police, Gadag, is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, North Division, Bengaluru City, replacing Saidulu Adavath.
29. Dr Gopal M Byakod, Superintendent of Police, Dharwad, is transferred and posted as Joint Director, Forensic Science Laboratory, Bengaluru, replacing Dr Simi Mariam George.

33. Jitendra Kumar Dayama, Superintendent of Police, Anti-Naxal Force, Udupi District, is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Law & Order, Mangaluru City, replacing Sidharth Goyal.
34. Deepan MN, Commandant, 1st Battalion, Karnataka State Reserve Police, Bengaluru, is transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Uttara Kannada, replacing M Narayana.
35. Jahnavi S, who had been awaiting posting, is posted as Superintendent of Police, Vijayanagara, replacing Srihari Babu BL.
