With differences cleared, ‘Pon Ondru Kanden’ to premiere on OTT and TV

Ashok Selvan portrays the character of a doctor, while Aishwarya Lekshmi takes on the role of a chef in the upcoming romantic entertainer.

The film received the “U/A” certification from the censor board and is poised for its much-anticipated release in April.

A few days ago, the production house — Jio Studios — announced on X that Pon Ondru Kanden would be premiered on Colors TV.

This did not sit well with the cast and crew, as they were not informed of the decision. Sharing the same on X, actor Vasanth Ravi expressed his shock and utter disappointment.

Vasanth Ravi wrote: “Extremely painful and disheartening to see the promo of #PonOndruKanden and announcement of World Satellite Premiere without any communication to anyone associated with the film !! ”

He further wrote, “A Creator or Artist does not have a say in your commercial decision aspects for his or her Artistic Work once it is given to the Producer, but at least they deserve respect to be informed about it through you and not from online portals.”
