Meanwhile, due to massive competition for Sankranthi, buyers are cautious about buying movies.

Big stars like Venkatesh Daggubati, Vijay Deverakonda, and Ravi Teja, along with Teja Sajja’s Hanuman have so far locked horns for Pongal.

But the version of distributors is such that Mahesh Babu-starrer will be exempted from the race because the Superstar can please both mass and family audiences alike.

Guntur Kaaram could fare well at the box office.

Starring Sreeleela and Meenakshi Chaudhary as leading ladies, the film also casts Jagapathi Bab, Ramya Krishna, Jayaram, and Prakash Raj in key roles.

Guntur Kaaram is bankrolled by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under the Sithara Entertainments banner.

The music is composed by S Thaman.

The movie follows the story of the underworld king of Guntur city, who falls in love with a journalist working to expose the illegal activities in the city.
