Versatile Star Vishal’s highly-anticipated film Rathnam has cleared its censor formalities and received a U/A certificate.
The action flick is all set to release in theatres on Friday, 26 April.
The censor officials reportedly praised team Rathnam for the content and excellent screenplay.
Directed by Hari, the movie promises a thrilling experience with an engaging screenplay.
Vishal’s strong performance, Hari’s distinctive filmmaking, and Devi Sri Prasad’s exceptional music are expected to be major highlights of the project.
Vishal and Hari have a track record of delivering blockbuster hits together.
Since the actor’s last outing Mark Antony (2023) was a box-office hit, there are huge expectations for Rathnam.
The promotional material for the film has created a lot of buzz, especially the recently released trailer which received a great response.
Vishal told the media recently that the suspense element in Rathnam would entertain audiences in theatres.
Priya Bhavani Shankar plays the female lead in the movie.

Rathnam is co-produced by Kaarthekeyen Santhanam for Stone Bench Films and Zee Studios.

Meanwhile, ahead of its release, the makers of Rathnam came up with a new song — “Yetuvaipo“, on Wednesday, 24 April.

Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad scored an inspiring and ground-breaking number that teaches valuable life lessons.
Shree Mani penned the lyrics, while Hariharan brought life to the tune with his expressive vocals.
The “Yetuvaipo” song from the Vishal-starrer created a buzz on social media in no time.
Similarly, the makers released the making video of single-shot action on Thursday, which caught the fancy of Vishal’s fans.
