Vijay Leo Telugu release

Hurdles seem to have been cleared for the release of actor Vijay Thalapathy’s much-awaited flick Leo in the two Telugu states.

On Tuesday, 17 October, producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, the distributor of Leo in Telugu states, ran helter-skelter after a person named Narasimha Reddy filed a case in the City Civil Court of Hyderabad seeking a halt on the release of the Telugu version of Leo on 19 October.

The court issued an injunction order where it withheld the release till 20 October.

However, Naga Vamsi seems to have sorted out the issue amicably, as told to the media. And now, the Telugu version of Leo is hitting the screens on 19 October, as per schedule.

As the distributors shared the news on social media, Vijay’s fans in the Telugu states heaved a sigh of relief.

There has been a massive demand for the tickets of Leo even though it is clashing with Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari on 19 October.

The BookMyShow app shows unprecedented bookings all over the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The Telugu dubbed version of Leo is considerably in huge demand in the Andhra region when compared to Telangana.

Leo topped with advance gross of ₹5.2 crore in as many as 1,600 shows, in the entire Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Balakrishna’s film Bhagavanth Kesari took the second place with bookings of ₹4.4 crore with as many as 1,850 shows.

For the first time, six early morning shows of Vijay Thalapathy will run houseful in Kakinada.

Leo, an action thriller

Starring an ensemble cast of Sanjay Dutt, George Maryan, Trisha Krishnan, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Arjun, Mysskin, Babu Antony, Priya Anand, and Manobala, Leo is an action thriller directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

The movie is produced by Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy.

Leo boasts of high-octane action sequences. The story follows a mild-mannered café owner (played by Vijay) who becomes a local hero after an act of violence.

The actor plays the role of Leo, a ruthless warlord who brutally kills those who defy him.

It is rumoured that the film is based on the 1997 graphic novel “A History of Violence“, which was also made into a 2005 Hollywood movie.
