The Malayalam actress has expressed shock at the judicial investigation committee’s finding that there were changes made in the hash value of the memory card involved in her sexual assault.
In her Instagram post, the actress said that it’s “unfair and shocking” to know that the hash value of a memory card kept in the court was changed.
“Privacy is a right given in the Indian law and the change in hash value of the memory card multiple times means my right of privacy was violated. And it is very scary to know that my privacy is not currently safe in the court,” she wrote.
The change in the hash value is unfair and is truly depressing for the victim and at the same time the perpetrators are free, the actress wrote.
She also reiterated that she will fight till she gets justice. She had recently received a copy of the judicial investigation report.
Reports emerged in 2022 that the footage of the survivor’s assault was leaked. The survivor had then approached the High Court seeking an investigation into this.
The survivor had also sought an inquiry into the change in hash value of the memory card of the device in which the visuals of the incident were allegedly stored.
In a setback to Malayalam actor Dileep, Kerala High Court in December last year had directed the Ernakulam District and Sessions Judge to file a report in a month after conducting a fact-finding enquiry on the allegations raised by the survivor in the 2017 actor sexual assault case.
The order was passed by Justice K Babu on a plea seeking a court-monitored investigation into the alleged leakage of visuals from the memory card relating to the incident, and the change in hash value of the memory card thereof, that was kept in court custody.
