Actress Trisha has condemned the “misogynist” comments that actor Mansoor Ali Khan made about her.

The actress took to X to vent her anger. “A recent video has come to my notice where Mr.Mansoor Ali Khan has spoken about me in a vile and disgusting manner [sic],” she wrote.

“I strongly condemn this and find it sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive and in bad taste. He can keep wishing but I am grateful never to have shared screen space with someone as pathetic as him and I will make sure it never happens for the rest of my film career as well. People like him bring a bad name to mankind [sic],” she added.

In an interview, Khan expressed distasteful wishes when asked about his role in Leo, featuring Vijay and Trisha in the lead.

Lokesh condemns the comment

The director of the film, Lokesh Kanakaraj, also condemned Khan’s comments. He took to X to register his thoughts and condemn the actor’s behaviour.

“Disheartened and enraged to hear the misogynistic comments made by Mr. Mansoor Ali Khan, given that we all worked in the same team. Respect for women, fellow artists and professionals should be a non-negotiable in any industry and I absolutely condemn this behaviour [sic],” the director wrote.

Actress Malavika Mohanan also took exception to Khan’s comments.

“This is disgusting on so many levels. It’s shameful enough that this is how this man views women & thinks about them, but then to have the guts(!!) to speak about it this openly and unapologetically, not even worried about repercussions?? Shame on you. Despicable beyond belief [sic],” she said.

Khan has had other brushes with controversy. He was earlier named as an accused in a rape case, but his name was eventually cleared.
