Nadikar trailer showcases the life of David Pallickal — his life as a superstar, his self-obsession, and how he handles various situations.
It also depicts the lives of people associated with cinema.
Nadikar trailer has garnered over 2 million views already and is trending on YouTube.
Besides Tovino, the Malayalam movie also stars Soubin Shahir, and Bhavana in the lead roles.
It features Dhyan Sreenivasan, Shine Tom Chacko, Lal, Sreenath Bhasi, Veena Nandakumar, Suresh Krishna, Aju Varghese, and Anoop Menon in key roles.
It made headlines a few months ago as the fans of yesteryear Tamil superstar Shivaji Ganeshan raised a serious objection against its original title — Nadikar Thilakam.
Shivaji Ganeshan was fondly referred to as “Nadikar Thilakam” for his exceptional acting talent.
Upon the request of Prabhu, the son of Shivaji Ganeshan, the makers changed the film’s title to Nadikar.
In the first week of April, the makers unveiled the teaser, which doubled the expectations among Tovino’s fans and moviegoers.
A few days ago, the makers released the first single from Nadikar. It showcased the childhood of David Padikal.
The emotional tune also offered a glimpse into the backstory of the protagonist.
Mythri Movie Makers and God Speed Productions are jointly producing it. The film is slated for release on 3 May.
It has been listed in the Top 10 Most Anticipated New Indian Movies of the year by the IMDb.
