Tovino Thomas’s next venture with director Anuraj Manohar has been titled Narivetta. The makers took to social media on Sunday, 21 July and revealed the title through a poster.
The poster hints that Narivetta would revolve around a riot in a village and based on real-life events.
The Malayalam movie will also feature Suraj Venjaramoodu, Tamil actor Cheran, Arya Salim, Priyamvadha Krishnan, and Rini Udayakumar in key roles. It is written by Abin Joseph and produced by the Indian Cinema Company.
More details about the cast and crew of Narivetta will be announced soon.
Anuraj Manohar debuted as a director with Ishq (2019), headlined by Shane Nigam and Ann Sheethal. He announced his second directorial, Sekhara Varma Rajavu, with Nivin Pauly, who was supposed to bankroll it. However, the film has been postponed for some reason. And now, the filmmaker is coming up with Narivetta with Tovino Thomas.
Meanwhile, Tovino Thomas was recently seen in Nadikar, which didn’t do well at the box office. However, he has a good lineup of projects.
The title of his upcoming film, Avaran, was announced in June. The makers also unveiled a motion poster of the film on the occasion. The movie is written by renowned scenarist Benny P Nayarambalam and is directed by debutant Shilpa Alexander, who worked as associate director for Biju Menon’s Padayottam (2018).
Tovino Thomas is also part of Akhil Paul and Anas Khan’s Identity and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Empuraan, the much-awaited sequel to Lucifer (2019).
His Ajayante Randam Moshanam was scheduled to be released in December. However, a case has been filed against the makers for alleged financial fraud following which a local court halted the film’s release.
Meanwhile, Tovino Thomas is also producing Marana Mass, which has Basil Joseph in the lead. He will also work in Saiju Sreedharan’s Munpe.
