Vijay Deverakonda has a lineup of films, including the highly anticipated Kingdom directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. Apart from this, which is a two-part film, he is also working with Rahul Sankrityan for VD14, and Ravi Kiran Kola’s film referred to as SVC59.

In an unplanned incident, the producer of SVC59 revealed the title of the film. On Wednesday, 5 March, during a media interaction about the re-release of Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Dil Raju revealed the title of the film as Rowdy Janardhana.

Speaking with the media, he said, “Rowdy Janardhana, and Yellama, both are ready and will take off in April, May.” However, soon after he realised the film title was not announced officially. He then goes on to announce again that, “Nithin’s film is titled Yellama, and Vijay Deverakonda’s film is titled Rowdy Janardhana.”

The film’s poster had the text: “I am the sword, blood is mine, and the war is with me.”

Other projects

Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda and Rahul Sankrityan are teaming up once again after Taxiwala (2018). This time they are set to work on a periodical drama.

The film, currently referred to as VD14, is gearing up to start shooting soon. On Republic Day, the director started the film production work with a small pooja.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film is expected to feature Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead, although the team has not given any official confirmation.

Gowtam Tinnanuri’s Kingdom is an action entertainer. The almost two-minute teaser released earlier showed a war-torn island amid chaos and bloodshed at the start, and Vijay Deverakonda emerges as a saviour, with the voice-over stating that “the people are waiting for the new king who will emerge out of a battlefield.”

Vijay Deverakonda hasn’t had a huge hit in the last few years. His last venture with Parusuram, The Family Star, also received mixed reviews.
