The latest episode of Take 20, the health podcast run by Samantha, has included a disclaimer following the backlash she received for advocating hydrogen-peroxide nebulisation on social media earlier this month.
In Episode 8, released on 29 July, Samantha discusses dietary supplements with Dr David Jockers, a natural medicine expert and author. The episode includes a disclaimer stating that the content is for “informational purposes” only.
The disclaimer in Samantha’s podcast stated that the information was for “informational purposes only and not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.”
In response to the actor‘s social media post earlier this month, some doctors warned that hydrogen-peroxide nebulisation could potentially harm patients’ health.
In her defence, the actor wrote she’s not naive enough to strongly advocate a treatment. “I simply suggested it based on my experiences over the past few years, understanding that treatments can be financially burdensome. Ultimately, we all rely on educated doctors for guidance.”
Struggling with myositis, a rare autoimmune disease causing muscle inflammation, Samantha took a six-month break last year to focus on her health.
Recently seen in the 2023 films Shaakuntalam and Kushi, Samantha Ruth Prabhu will next star alongside Varun Dhawan in the spy series Citadel: Honey Bunny. This Indian adaptation of the Russo Brothers’ international series Citadel marks their first collaboration.
Director Raj & DK recently posted an Instagram update with the date “01.08” and honey and rabbit emojis. While the caption revealed little, it has sparked speculation among fans that the trailer for Citadel: Honey Bunny will be released on 1 August.
The cast includes Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parihar, Kashvi Majmundar, Saquib Saleem, and Sikandar Kher.
Regarding her role in Citadel: Honey Bunny, Samantha previously said, “I never imagined doing action, but being part of this project feels like a victory. At one point, I didn’t think I could do it or be in Citadel. I’m incredibly grateful to Raj, DK, Sita, and Amazon for their support. I had to prepare physically, and I’m already so proud of how it’s turned out. I can hardly believe it.”
Additionally, Samantha announced Bangaram on her 37th birthday, her debut as a producer under her banner Tralala Moving Pictures. She will also star in the film. Details about the plot, cast, or crew are yet to be revealed.
