The latest Telugu action-drama, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram starring Nani, is all set to make its OTT debut on Netflix on 26 September.
Directed by Vivek Athreya, the film has already achieved a significant milestone by crossing the ₹100-crore mark at the box office during its theatrical run.
Saripodhaa Sanivaaram will be available for streaming on the OTT giant in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. It has been titled Surya’s Saturday in all non-Telugu languages.
The movie features Nani in the lead role, alongside an ensemble cast—Priyanka Arul Mohan, SJ Suryah, Abhirami, Murali Sharma, and Sai Kumar.
It revolves around a young man who promises his mother that he will control his anger throughout the week but allows himself to unleash his rage only on Saturdays.
The plot thickens as he becomes embroiled in a conflict with a ruthless cop, who terrorises a village.
Saripodhaa Sanivaaram marks Nani’s second collaboration with director Vivek Athreya, following their successful 2022 film Ante Sundaraniki.

Vivek Athreya won accolades for his writing and directorial skills in the film. “Saripodhaa Sanivaaram further cements Athreya as one of the most exciting and gifted writers in contemporary Telugu cinema. His reinvention of the quintessential Telugu action movie is both refreshing and impactful,” our review read.
Produced by DVV Danayya and Kalyan Dasari under the DVV Entertainment banner, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram has been a box office success, earning over ₹100 crore within 18 days of its release.
This is the third time Nani achieved such a milestone, following his appearances in SS Rajamouli’s Eega (2012) and Srikanth Odela’s Dasara (2023). Further, made with a budget of ₹90 crore, this is the most expensive film in Nani’s career.
The technical crew includes cinematographer Murali G, music director Jakes Bejoy, and editor Karthika Srinivas. The soundtrack, in particular, garnered praise as Jakes Bejoy’s music complemented the film’s intense and emotional moments.
With its OTT release on Netflix, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram is expected to reach a wider audience, further boosting its popularity.
