As the release date is nearing, there is growing anticipation among fans regarding Jr NTR’s Devara Part 1. Set to release on Friday, 27 September, the first part of the two-part franchise is directed by Siva Koratala and is the debut film of Janhvi Kapoor in Telugu.
Devara Part 1 is also Jr NTR’s solo film after six years. His last movie with Ram Charan, Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR (2022), gained global attention.
Two days before the release date, Devara Part 1 received a U/A certificate from the censor board, and its final runtime has been cut to 2 hours and 50 minutes with statutory warnings, and 2 hours and 42 minutes without statutory warnings.

The action entertainer first conceptualised as a single film has been made into two parts, owing to the length. Devara Part 1 also promises sophisticated action sequences with a drama backdrop.
Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments have released GOs, permitting midnight and special shows of the Jr NTR’s films.
The Andhra Pradesh government gave permission to screen six shows on the opening day, which can start as early as midnight on 27 September. However, from day 1 to the next nine days, it permitted five shows for Devara.
Coming to the price hikes, the tickets for the lower class, upper class, and multiplexes have been hiked by an additional ₹60, ₹110, and ₹135 respectively.
The Telangana government has allowed 29 special screenings, 21 in the Hyderabad city limits, five in Khammam district, and one each in Miryalaguda, Mahbubnagar, and Gadwal districts. While the government has allowed a price hike, an additional ₹100 can be charged only on day one, that is, the ticket prices can go up to ₹295 in single screens while in multiplexes the price can go up to ₹413.
From the next day, the ticket prices are hiked by an additional ₹25 for single screens, and ₹50 for multiplexes.
